Hi, I’m Monique — a truth-teller, home-maker (in every sense), and woman rooted in grace, grief, and growth.

I created Rooted in Moments as a place to hold the layers of my life: the joy, the heartbreak, the healing, and the hope. Here, I write to honor moments that matter — even the ones that broke me. It’s a reflection of how I move through the world — with God at the center, family as my foundation, and transparency as my language.

This blog is where I share the parts of life that matter most:

  • Grief and growth, because loss changes you and healing rebuilds you
  • Friendship and marriage, because love is complex and sacred
  • Real estate and design, because creating beautiful, meaningful spaces is one of the ways I serve and express
  • Food and connection, because a shared meal is one of the most sacred ways to say “I see you”
  • Old-school music on a record player, because sometimes healing sounds like Anita Baker on vinyl

I believe in showing up honestly, learning from failure, and being a “girl’s girl” — loyal, uplifting, and real. Whether you’re here to read a soulful story, get inspired, cry, or create something beautiful, I’m grateful you’re here. I hope you find something that reminds you of who you are and what you’re rooted in.

Welcome to Rooted in Moments — let’s grow through it, together.
